Scientific research has shown that the patented active in Revenir, TCQA, maintains anagen (growth phase) and represses telogen (resting phase) in follicles. This elongates the length of time the follicle is in this growing phase; in the efficacy trial people found their hair grow faster and longer. Furthermore, TCQA induces the transition of the hair cycle from the telogen (resting phase) to anagen phase (growing phase).

Our research shows that the active, TCQA, in Revenir boosts a naturally occurring cell signalling protein called NRF2, which is involved in protecting cells from ‘oxidative stress’ . However, as we get older levels of this protein drop; by increasing NRF2, Revenir protects the follicle from premature ageing from factors that cause oxidative stress such as UV, pollutants, harsh chemicals, smoking, illness etc. that cause damage and leads to hair loss. Boosting NRF2 also improves energy availability, via the cell's energy store - ATP, for follicle cells - energy is a vital factor in normal healthy follicle function and needed for hair growth.
